VIRTUAL REALITY
Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that creates a simulated environment in which a person can interact immersively. This simulation is achieved through the use of specialized hardware and software, such as VR headsets or glasses and tracking sensors, allowing users to immerse themselves in a three-dimensional digital world.
In VR, users can experience the sensation of being completely immersed in a fictional or recreated environment, where they can explore, interact, and manipulate virtual objects and characters. This is achieved by tracking the movements and position of the user's head and, sometimes, hands, so that the virtual world responds coherently to their actions and movements.
VR is used in various applications, ranging from video games and training simulations to therapies and entertainment experiences. Its goal is to provide a highly immersive sensory experience that can transport users to digital worlds and allow them to live experiences that would otherwise not be possible in the real world.
